Reports from The Big Horn

Becca Wineka sends us a report from her previous trip to Montana. The Big Horn has always had a great reputation for quality fish and Becca’s nice brown confirms. Great job and look forward to seeing more pics from you all.

End of the Montana Season

A couple of good friends of mine decided to end the summer with a bag and throw hoppers till the dropped. These trout junkies packed their gear and set up base camp in Twin Bridges Montana. Over the course of seven days they floated the Big Hole waded the Madison, Jefferson, and finally made their way through Slough Creek. Unfortunately reports that a cold front had moved through the area slowed down the famous hopper bite a tad but Tricos and a few other secrets still had fish in a frenzy before old man winter began his rule of the land.

Montana Flyfishing

Two of DRO’s finest and “Most Seasoned” just came back from some incredible fly fishing through some of the countries most beautiful water. Their  journey through Montana was spent fishing a variety of waters but most of their time fishing was spent on the Missouri and Ruby Rivers. While hoppers seemed to be the main stay these two were catching fish through one Trico blitz after another and epic caddis hatches. Judging by some of the pictures, they were not lying when they said they found plenty of bugs, laughs, and BIG FISH !
