Smallmouth Fishing is “Off the Hook”

Smallmouth fishing is heating up!

The start of spring 2009 has brought us some desperately needed warm sunny days. We have been fishing in between the warm fronts and rain, but we are seeing good-sized smallmouths being caught in deep pockets on baithfish patterns and crawfish imitations. Focus your fishing efforts deep and close to structure until the water temperature gets warmer.

Over the next few weeks, stop in the shop or visit www.davidsonflyfishing.com, and get stocked up because the action will soon be “off the hook.”

Come check these monsters out for yourself

Davidson River Outfitters has been netting and releasing large fish, sometimes small; here in Western North Carolina since 1988′.  We are a full service fly shop guide service of 10 extremely experienced guides. We offer wade trips and full day float trips, from trout to smallmouth bass and even Musky, yes Musky.

Traveling from Greenville, S.C. come right up 276 N and we are down the street from downtown Brevard, right at the entrance of Pisgah Forest.

Look around the website photos and see the dragons that we have slayed. www.davidsonflyfishing.com

We missed this 21# fish three times on flies, and ran out of patience. Flipping her a 6" swim bait worked though.
